In Memory of the Men Who Served in WW II
      Because the battle for our freedom was fought on foreign soil during WW II, we Americans who are living today cannot truly understand what it meant for us, and because the last of the bloody battles ended 65 years ago, there is less appreciation, by the general public, of what the US Military went through to obtain that freedom. We need to be reminded.

Birthday Celebration
      For the last 10 or so years a birthday celebration has been held in August at Martha Angle’s home in Thornton celebrating all the family’s birthdays – the Nance and Walker families. This year the party was on Saturday, August 21st. There were 46 who attended. Some came from close by but many from far away.
