The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Irma Lou Canada Means of Groesbeck, Texas on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. A graveside service will follow. Irma was born January 5, 1945 to Sherman Canada and Ora Lee Cobb in Groesbeck, Texas. She grew up in Groesbeck and attended the public schools. Irma accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Gideon Primitive Baptist Church in Doyle. Mrs. Means attended college and was employed as a Nurse for the Mexia State School for many years. She enjoyed fishing, watching soap operas, and reading romance novels. Irma will be remembered most for her Sweet Tea. Preceding her in death are: her parents; her brothers: Willie Canada and Sherman Canada, Jr.; and her grandson: Justin Canada. Those left to cherish her memory most are: her sons: Kerry Canada and wife Genelle, Dallas, and Tony Canada, Groesbeck; her grandson: Kory Canada, Dallas; her great grandson: Dantevion Canada, Waco; her brother: Robert Canada and wife Cathryn, Dallas; and a host of family and friends.
