Limestone County Farm Bureau and Texas Farm Credit Hosts Ag Update Meeting

The Limestone County Farm Bureau along with Texas Farm Credit and the Limestone County Offi ce of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service hosted an meeting for local agricultural producers to learn about traffic safety and laws as they pertain to farm use and farm vehicles and laws and regulations for private pesticide applicators.

District 17 Congressman Bill Flores was the guest speaker for the Limestone County Conservative meeting which was held at Austin McCarver’s Family Steakhouse House in Kosse on Monday night, March 17. John McCarver, president of the group, opened the meeting with the pledge to the American flag, and Ricky Logan gave the invocation.

City lends support to Housing Authority rehab project

Groesbeck city council approved a resolution supporting the Groesbeck Housing Authority’s credit application with the USDA to rehabilitate the 80 public housing units located in the city. The show of support took place at the council’s meeting Tuesday, Feb. 18.
