Fall Beef Cattle Management Program to be held October 28th @ Groesbeck Auction Barn

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Limestone, Falls, McLennan, Robertson, Leon and Freestone Counties are sponsoring a “Fall Beef Cattle Management” program at the Groesbeck Auction Barn in Groesbeck, Texas, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 1:30 after a sponsored lunch from Purina Animal Nutrition and a sponsored breakfast and cold drinks courtesy of Lone Star Ag Credit.

Limestone County Farm Bureau and Texas Farm Credit Hosts Ag Update Meeting

The Limestone County Farm Bureau along with Texas Farm Credit and the Limestone County Offi ce of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service hosted an meeting for local agricultural producers to learn about traffic safety and laws as they pertain to farm use and farm vehicles and laws and regulations for private pesticide applicators.

The Buffalo Livestock Auction held its weekly livestock auction on Saturday, July 19. Total head sold were 1224 total head last sale was 1506. There were 214 sellers and 53 buyers. The sale is held every Saturday.

District 17 Congressman Bill Flores was the guest speaker for the Limestone County Conservative meeting which was held at Austin McCarver’s Family Steakhouse House in Kosse on Monday night, March 17. John McCarver, president of the group, opened the meeting with the pledge to the American flag, and Ricky Logan gave the invocation.
