A319 Floodplain and Wetlands Early

Public Notice

Date March 11, 2010 The City of Groesbeck, Texas is considering a Disaster Relief Fund project through the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program. The funds are needed for repairs to areas along the Lake Groesbeck Dam on the Navasota River. These areas were damaged by floodwaters in April 2009 and repairs are crucial for the facility to maintain maximum functionality in protecting the City’s sole water source as well as the life and property along the Navasota River. The project activities will be up and downstream of the dam site on Lake Groesbeck, located at the end of Ridgewood Park Road, north of the city limits. This area is located in the 100-year floodplain.
