      Groesbeck Elementary UIL participants from grades 2 – 5 traveled to Latham Springs Baptist Camp Facility on December 10, 2009, to compete with other elementary students in District 19-AAA. Students from Connally, Groesbeck, LaVega, Lorena, Mexia, and Robinson proudly represented their schools.

DAR holds regular meeting, names Good Citizen Essay Contest winner
      The meeting of the Jonathan Hardin Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was called to order at 10:30 A.M. on February 10, by Regent Diana McDonald who welcomed the members and three guests. Regent McDonald led members in the DAR ritual, pledges to the United States and Texas Flags and read the President General’s letter.

Senior Class having annual dinner and auction, March 11
      The Class of 2010, the senior class of Groesbeck High School, is hosting the annual senior dinner and auction on Thursday, March 11th at the H. O. Whitehurst Elementary School. The serving of the spaghetti dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be a silent and live auction. The live auction will follow the meal.
