TACO SOUP DINNER Friday, Oct. 31

Class of 2011 to host dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. prior to the home football game. Taco soup, cornbread, dessert and a drink for $5.

OLETHA REUNION Saturday, Nov. 1

Annual homecoming for all past and present Oletha residents. Begins at 10 a.m. at Oletha Community Center.

4-H MEETING Monday, Nov. 3

Meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Enge-Washington cafeteria.

FALL FROLIC Saturday, Nov. 1

Annual event will be from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Groesbeck. The Groesbeck VFD will have a haunted house, and other organizations and businesses are urged to sponsor activities. Seale-Round Prairie Volunteer Fire Department's annual Fall Fest from 5-8 p.m. at Fire Station. Hamburgers and hot dogs available for $6 for adults and $3 for kids.

Dedication service begins at 2 p.m. at Faulkenberry Cemetery.

General Election for national, state and county offices. Groesbeck ISD residents will vote for or against school improvements.

ELECTION DAY LUNCHEON Tuesday, Nov. 4

Eastern Star 810 of Groesbeck will host luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge. Stew, cornbread, crackers, dessert, tea, $6. Takeouts available.

BASEBALL MEETING Thursday, Nov. 6

Groesbeck Youth Baseball Association meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Enge-Washington school cafeteria. The group will be electing officers for the 2008-09 year.

CHILI SUPPER Saturday, Nov. 15

Lake Mexia Volunteer Fire Department will hold fund-raiser at the fire station, located at the intersection of Comanche and LCR 377, from 5-8 p.m. Cash drawings also will be held. Dinner includes chili with crackers (or Frito pie), baked beans, onions, pickles, peach cobbler and iced tea. Cost: $6 for adults, $3 for kids under 12.

LMC FUNDRAISER Saturday, Nov. 15

Limestone Medical Center Foundation stew supper begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Groesbeck Civic Center. Cost: $10 per plate. Silent and live auctions. Proceeds will go toward new equipment for the hospital.

FOOD FOR FAMILIES Friday, Nov. 21

Church on the Rock is sponsoring a food drive from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 314 Navasota, across from the Groesbeck Police Department.
