     Distant Lights, an Austin based Instrumental band with two Limestone County residents as members played their debut album "Simulacrum" at the Thunderbird Club in Tehuacana Saturday night. Gaelyn Bellamy of Tehuacana and Chris Haynes of Mexia played guitar and drums together while at Mexia High School.

It Was All About Flowers at the Coolidge Civic Garden Club
      Justin Seals of Magness Florist in Mexia did a beautiful presentation of flower arrangements. He put together three different styles, all of which will be donated to the club. Coolidge Junior Jackets Win Again
      The Coolidge Junior High Yellowjackets remained unbeaten in district play, traveling to Trinidad, Thursday October 23rd, and beat the Trojans, 47-12. Coolidge ups its season record to 5-1 and 4-0 in District 14. Aaron Salazar, Brody Moore, and Shilonar Calhoun all scored twice for the Yellowjackets and Joe Brown breezed in for one.

Oakwood Smashes Coolidge
      In the first meeting in many years, Oakwood completely dominated the Yellowjackets, 70-0 Friday, October 24, in Oakwood. The Panthers have been playing 11-man for several years. They took control early and the game was called at halftime due to the mercy rule. Coolidge had several key players including Payton Burkhart, Ricky Chavez, Arthur Rivera, and Daniel Perez.
