The 2008 season has come to a close for the Groesbeck Pee Wee cheerleaders, and I have to say it has been a great one! This year we had thirty-seven girls and six coaches that made each game to support our Pee Wee football players. My coaches worked beyond expectation, teaching each squad numerous cheers as well as choreographing their very own half time dance. More ... R.C. A local youth ranch rodeo team does well and receives its awards at the TYRRA finals in Lufkin. B-T Ranch won third for the year and received a belt buckle, breast collar and matching head stall and other prizes. They competed all year in the Peewee Division. Members are Cody Trammell from Lott, Peyton Baize, Zane Baize, and Blane Sadler all from Groesbeck. They won at every rodeo, winning the Teague rodeo and placing in top three at all but two of the TYRRA rodeos. (Courtesy photo) More ... The Power to Succeed program will be presented to Groesbeck ISD students in grades 6-12 the week of December 8th. Aim for Success, Inc., is a nationally acclaimed education organization that has taught more than 1.5 million students in the past 15 years on the importance of making wise life-choices. Their abstinence program was presented at GISD in 2007. More ... Our Meetings are held every other Wedesday at 4-5:30 at the Girl Scout House by Oliver Park. The Daisy's have been very busy selling Trail Mix. They had a Halloween Monster Bash Slumber Party and this past weekend they went on their first Campout at Fort Parker State Park.
