Scott Wilson have announced the formation of the Cannon & Wilson law firm in Groesbeck with the firm's offices located at 215 West State Street.

In recognition of the formation of Cannon & Wilson, an open house was held at the law office on Wednesday afternoon, February 25. A large attendance was present for the open house including staff members, family members, local officials and many local friends. Among those present were Judge Felipe Reyna and Rex Davis of the 10th Court of Appeals.

The longtime Groesbeck law firm was founded in 1942 by well known local attorneys Carl Cannon and Scott Reed. The firm was known as Cannon & Reed and remained under that title until 1959.

The firm, then, became the Cannon & Cannon law firm with the attorneys being Carl Cannon and Joe Cannon. Joe Cannon joined the firm in 1960. Cannon & Cannon remained the name of this law firm until 1975.
