      Sleepy little Ben Hur is waking up. After decades of having one part-time retailer, the ranching community named after a novel is home to two new businesses and a third is on its way. C.J.'s Saloon opened earlier this month in a historic structure that was built in 1900.

      Limestone Medical Center's increase in services and patients has Nursing Director Heath Mitchell scrambling to increase the size of his nursing staff. "Right now, the hospital has about 50 nurses," Mitchell said.

William Sidney Light was a Civil War baby born in the Central Texas county of Bell.
