Glance Back At Thornton March 26, 1959 Neason's Feed Store advertised Free Chick Day on April 7th. 25 baby chicks given with each 50 lbs. Swift's chick starter. ***** FRESHMEN HAVE SKATING PARTY The Freshmen class entertained their fellow friends with a skating party Monday night at the Sunset Skating Rink. Some 35 class members and guests attended. Refreshments were served, and other than a few bruises the party was a tremendous success. ***** PTA HOLD REGULAR MEETING The PTA of Thornton met in regular session on Thursday afternoon with the president, Mrs. Elbert Reynolds presiding. Among the business to be transacted was the election of a nominating committee consisting of Mrs. R.A. Black, Mrs. Alice Kidd, and Miss Nona Richardson. ***** Helen and Tommie Watford of Corsicana and Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Jackson of Seale visited Mrs. C. E. Herod on Sunday. ***** |
