Adrian Dudkiewicz savors Groesbeck experience
      Like so many other exchange students to the United States, Adrian Dudkiewicz is fluent in several languages. Though he hails from Germany, his surname gives away his Polish heritage. Accordingly he speaks German in school in Hamburg and Polish around his Polish relatives. Here in Groesbeck, Texas, his English barely has any hints of his European roots.

      Groesbeck ISD is accepting Gifted and Talented Spring nominations for the 2009-20010 school year in grades K-12.

     Groesbeck High School's Student Council donated a $100 check to the Groesbeck Education Foundation last week. The council won the money in a Show Box Contest during the District 6 Student Council Fall Convention, said council sponsor Nancy Sutton. The group filled 40 shoe boxes with supplies for soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afganistan war zones. Air bag safety and children
      Air bags can save lives -- there's little doubt about it. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that air bags have saved more than 20,000 lives as of 2006. However, the flip side of air bags is their inherent danger.
