Groesbeck Soccer Club

GHS tennis teams state semi-finalists
      Vernon and Van found that their state champion doubles teams had to get past Groesbeck to play for the titles they won. They both won out in hard-fought matches over the Goats , but knew they had been in a battle to get to play on Tuesday for their titles.

Let's Read RIDDLE
      We haven't mentioned the Texas Cup in a while. With just a few state titles to be decided in baseball, track softball and academics as of May 13, the standings were as follows: 5A The Woodlands-78, 4A-Waco Midway-72, 3A Argyle-64, 2A Bushland-34 and 1A Cayuga. Groesbeck traveled to Cayuga for a warm up volleyball match in November.

Along The River Bank
      The Mexia Bass Club had a good tournament on Trading House Lake on the 9th and 10th. Almost everyone caught fish. The winners were Buddy Borden and Justin Garnett. They weighed in 20.06 plus. Coming in 2nd place was Ron Talbot and Ron Williams. They weighed in 18.94 lbs. 3rd place was Steve Hughes and Bert Harrison. They weighed in 18 plus pounds.
