Glance Back At Kosse July 2, 1959 BURGLARS TAKE CIGARETTES FROM KOSSE DRUG STORE Burglars paid a visit to Bullock's Drug Store in Kosse, Thursday night, June 25. Limestone County Sheriff Jack Bothwell investigated the burglary and said entrance to the building was gained by breaking in a rear door. Only thing reported missing was a small quantity of cigarettes. The door of an empty safe which was not locked was standing open when the drug store was opened Friday morning. The sheriff's department reported that no clues were found in the investigation. ***** Weekend specials at Springfield Grocery included: Apple jelly, 20 oz. glass, 25¢; Oak Farms Mellorine, ½ gal. 39¢; Del Monte Spinach, 2 cans, 27¢; Sunny biscuits, 3 cans, 25¢; Fresh dressed fryers, lb., 33¢; Smoked ring sausage, lb., 39¢; Beef chuck roast, lb., 65¢. ***** Mrs. Estelle Slaughter and daughter and Eddie Biggs of Los Angeles, Calif., are here for a visit with Mrs. Ada Skipper and the Bryants. ***** |
