Thornton Homecoming Schedule Announced

The annual Thornton Homecoming will be Friday and Saturday, July 17-18.

The homecoming schedule is given below:

Friday -- July 17

7:30 p.m. -- Rodeo and Muttin' Bustin' and calf scramble

9:00 p.m. -- Dance -- Heart of Texas Road Gang

Saturday -- July 18

9:00 a.m. -- Turn in pies for pie contest at Dance Concession Stand

11:00 a.m. -- Homecoming parade (10 trophies to be awarded) line up at 10 a.m.

Noon -- Dinner at Thornton- Walters Community Dinner Center (school house)

Noon -- Hospitality Get Together -- Hot dogs by Thornton Volunteer Fire Department

1:00 p.m. -- Pie contest awards and auction

2:00 p.m. -- Ex-Students meeting (school house)

7:30 p.m. -- Rodeo and Muttin' Bustin' and calf scramble

9:00 p.m. -- Dance, Tobacco Road
