WESTERN GALA
Saturday, Aug. 8

The eighth annual Mexia State School Western Gala is being planned. Details will be released as announced.

OLETHA JAMBOREE
Saturday, Aug. 8

The guest band "Touch of Grass" will begin playing at 7 p.m., but a Frito pie dinner, complete with dessert and a drink, will be served at 6 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. A cake and pie auction will follow the dinner. Other bands also will perform.

SINGLES DANCE
Sunday, Aug. 9

The Waco Chapter of the Texas Association of Single Adults will have a singles dance from 6-10 p.m. at the Hewitt VFW, 725 Sun Valley Blvd. Take Exit 328 off I-35. Music will be by Marty T & The Boys. Admission is $5 for members and $7 for visitors. Singles 21 and over are invited. Call (254) 666-2554 for details.

Limestone County Conservatives meet the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Kosse Community Center.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at Mi Rancho and the third Wednesday of each month in the Farmers State Bank Community Room. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and the public is invited.
