On Wednesday, July 29, 2009, members of the Elder John Parker Society, National Society Children of the American Revolution, met at the Freestone County Museum, in Fairfield for a tour given by museum curator Sandy Bell which consisted of historical buildings and collected memorabilia. Following the tour, they continued their meeting at the home of Jim and Kathleen McKee. More ... Hello! Praise God for the rain. We really need more rain but we are grateful for what we get. Recent visitors to Groesbeck were Tracy Hutson and her children Reeve and Morgan Stonecipher from Inman, Kansas. Visiting Kansas and accompanying them to Texas were Morgan's best friends, Bex Kentfield (from Dorset, England) and Yiseal Shin (from Korea). They all have recently lived in Sri Lanka. Tracey Morgan returned to the states two years ago. Reeve just joined his Mom and sister and will attend Northeastern in Boston his fall. After visiting her aunts and uncles Bennie and Betty Stevens and Dan and Barbara Burleson and other family members, they left for South Texas to spend time with Tracy's parents, Bill and Patsy (Burleson) Hutson. All will return to Kansas soon and Bex and Yiseal will head back to Sri Lanka with fond memories of Groesbeck and the wide open spaces of Texas.
