Starting a small business

Got a business idea that won't go away? Have you always had the entrepreneurial spirit but just don't know where to start?

The Navarro College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will sponsor a free workshop on How to Start a Small Business on Thursday, September 10, from 2 p m. - 4 p m., at the Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce, 120 N. 12th Street, Corsicana, 75110.

This workshop is free but preregistration is required, as seating is limited. To register, call the Navarro College SBDC at (903) 875-7667 or email sbdc@navarrocollege. edu.

Robin Lasher, experienced entrepreneur and Director of Navarro College SBDC, will present the workshop and will introduce attendees to the "nuts and bolts" of starting their own small business. Attendees will explore the feasibility of their business ideas and learn the basics of registering a business, choosing a legal form of business ownership, filing proper permits and licenses, and evaluating financial options.

Navarro College SBDC is a partnership program with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
