Groesbeck Elementary School new student registration
Groesbeck Elementary School's registration for Pre-K through 5th grade students who are new to the school district will be held on Monday, August 10 from 9:00 - 3:00 on the H.O. Whitehurst Campus, 801 S. Ellis. The Health Department will be on campus to give immunizations from 9:00 - 1:00.
This registration is for those students who have not previously been enrolled. A birth certificate, social security card, and shot record will be needed to enroll a student. ONLY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF A CHILD MAY REGISTER A CHILD FOR SCHOOL. PARENT IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION.
To qualify for Pre-Kindergarten, a child must be 4 years old by September 1, 2009.
Children who meet any of the following guidelines may attend free of charge: Unable to speak and comprehend the English language; qualify for free or reduced lunch program; homeless, as defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11302 in Senate Bill 1.
Children who do not qualify based on the above state guidelines may attend for a monthly tuition (see chart below).
To qualify for Kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2009.
Applications for free and reduced lunches will also be available for any parents of Pre- K through 5th grade students to complete.
