Maxine (Stone) and Travis Smith of Abilene will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on September 10th. The couple was honored last Saturday at the Shirley and Charlie Stone Reunion by their family with a special cake and a money tree. They were married in Groesbeck on September 10, 1954. Sometime during the past weekend, vandals removed one of the 'babies' from the statue that was placed at the entrance of the City Park just this summer.
