Maxine (Stone) and Travis Smith of Abilene will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on September 10th. The couple was honored last Saturday at the Shirley and Charlie Stone Reunion by their family with a special cake and a money tree. They were married in Groesbeck on September 10, 1954. Both are 1948 graduates of Groesbeck High School. They lived in Mart for many years before moving to Abilene several months ago. (Journal photo/Tom Hawkins More ...
