John Milton Kasner

John Milton Kasner, 80, of Ben Hur passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at a Waco hospital. Graveside services were held Saturday, October 10, at Criswell Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating.

On November 17, 1928, John was born in Marlin to Charles and Olga Kasner. He was reared and educated in the Ben Hur area. For many years he was employed at General Tire in Waco. He was a member of Masonic organizations.

John was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tommy Kasner; and his brother, Charles “Slick” Kasner. He is survived by his wife, Frances Kasner of Ben Hur; his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Janice Kasner of Mt. Calm; his sister, Charlene Robertson of Bellville; his sister-in-law, Imogene Kasner of Mart; his grandchildren, Kammi Kasner of Denton and Kevin Kasner of Waco; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mart.
