FALL FESTIVAL Thursday through Sunday First United Methodist Church will hold its annual Fall Festival on Oct. 29 through Nov. 1 at the church. See separate story for details.

TIME TO FALL BACK Sunday, Nov. 1 The time will change at 2 a.m. this Sunday morning and convert from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. Move your clocks and watches back one hour before going to sleep Saturday night. Daylight Savings Time will return in the spring.

HALLOWEEN CAR SHOW Saturday, Oct. 31 Lake Limestone Marina will hold its Halloween Car Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the marina, located on the east side of Lake Limestone. Music, raffle, costume contest with prizes. Call John or Ellie at (903) 626-4119.

TRICK-OR-TREAT Saturday, Oct. 31 The city of Groesbeck has designated the hours of 6-8 p.m. Saturday night, as the time for trick-or-treating in Groesbeck.

FRUIT DEADLINE Friday, Nov. 6 Groesbeck FFA will be selling holiday fruit baskets until Friday, Nov. 6. Call 729-4134 to place an order. Price vary according to quantity and type of fruit ordered. Oranges, grapefruit, apples and pears are available. Baskets will arrive the first week of December.

ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW Saturday, Nov. 14 The annual Fall Arts & Crafts Show and Citywide Garage Sale will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Groesbeck Civic Center. Booths will rent for $25. For more information, call (254) 729-3894.

CHRISTMAS IN BREMOND

Saturday, Dec. 5 Vendor booths are available for Christmas in the Park. The price is $20 for a booth, if you need electricity at your booth it will be $25. Anyone interested in setting up a booth, please contact Cathy Penick at (254) 746-5350 or Nancy Heatonat (254) 746-7548 or Rachel Windham at (979) 906-0071. We are collecting donations for the toys that will be given away to the children. Last year, each child who attended received a gift, and we are collectiog toys or a monetary donation for this. Anyone intested in donating may contact, Cathy Penick, Nancy Heaton or Rachel Windham. Deadline for this is Nov. 1. The event will have various games for the children and adults, prizes will be awarded, vendor booth of all types, jewelry, plants, food, etc. Santa will be available for pictures, and entertainment will be provided for a fun filled event. The lighting of the Christmas Tree will take place at dark.

MRS. MACKEY’S STORYTIME Every Thursday Join the fun with Storytime and crafts from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Maffett Memorial Library, 601 W. Yeagua.

GROESBECK LIONS CLUB Every Wednesday The Groesbeck Lions Club meets Wednesdays at noon at Mi Rancho in Groesbeck. Anyone interested in joining the group is welcome to attend. Call Jan Bohls at (254) 587-2259 for more information.

LIMESTONE CONSERVATIVES Third Monday of each month Limestone County Conservatives meet the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Kosse Community Center.

GROESBECK REBUILDS AMERICA The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at Mi Rancho and the third Wednesday of each month in the Farmers State Bank Community Room. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m.
