The Mexia Bass Club voted to fish Lake Trading House on the 14th and 15th of December. This little lake is full bank now but it has been pretty low this summer. The lake usually gets the nod this time of the year and some good catches will probably be weighed in. Starting time is 6:30 a.m. and weigh in will be 3 p.m. More ... That is the motto for the 2009 – 2010 Groesbeck Runnin’ Goats basketball team. The expectation is definitely there with the Goats only losing one senior from last year’s squad. More ... Several area schools including three from District 19AAA are still in the high school football playoff. Mexia, Lorena and LaVega were all victorious in the bidistrict round and will advance to the area round. The playoff schedule for area teams is given below. They have been practicing the last week and a half and had their first showing on Friday November 13th against Taylor on the road.
