Biologist hopes to expand quail program into Limestone County
      Thirty years ago, bobwhite quail were abundant in Central Texas. Today, only small, fragmented colonies remain, but thanks to an initiative under way in western Navarro County, that could soon change, particularly if interest in the program expands into Limestone and other surrounding counties.

      The Groesbeck Auction & Livestock Company held its weekly livestock auction sale on Thursday, Nov. 19 The sale is held each Thursday beginning at 12 noon. There were 1421 head sold. There will be no sale on Thursday, Nov. 26 - have a happy Thanksgiving!

BUFFALO LIVESTOCK & MARKETING REPORT
     The Buffalo Livestock Auction held its weekly livestock auction on Saturday, Nov. 21. Total head sold were 1534; total head last sale was 2911. There were 166 sellers and 86 buyers. The sale is held every Saturday. There will be no sale on Nov. 28th. Regular auction resumes Dec. 5.
