Most Limestone County residents are looking forward to a holiday season filled with ham, turkey, stuffing and sweets. Other residents just want to feed their families. Chase ends at Mexia State Supported Living Center

A high speed chase, which began at 6:37 a.m. Monday morning in Navarro County, ended about 35 to 45 minutes later near the Longhorn Unit of Mexia State Supported Living Center, formerly known as the Mexia State School, and one person was wounded, according to Limestone County Sheriff Dennis. Laura Cannon was the daughter of J. Allen and Althea A. Ray of Thornton. She taught in Thornton schools several years. She was married to Lewis Templeton Cannon, one of the three sons of John W.
