Groesbeck Elementary School 4th Grade Appreciates Our Troops!

Instead of exchanging Christmas gifts among themselves this year, the 4th Grade Class at Groesbeck Elementary School sent about 40 care packages to the unit of Rudy Gomez, a 1986 Groesbeck High School graduate, who is stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The care packages included sunflower seeds, gum, breath mints, hand sanitizer, drink mix, Chap Stick and specially made Christmas cards. The students pictured above with the care packages are Austin Jordan, Alex Lira, Kathryn Anderson, Kaithlyn Giles, Keyonna Smith and Trey Hicks. The troops received these care packages on Christmas day.
