Miss Anders, daughter of Glenn and Linda Anders of Groesbeck, competed against all other 2010 seniors for this honor. She expressed her patriotism in an impromptu essay entitled “Preserving American Pride” as well as presenting an outline of her qualifications of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

As for the future Cassie relates that she plans to study in the field of business administration and Spanish. A college has not yet been chosen, but it will be a Texas college.

In a glimpse of Cassie’s past history as a writer, Noma Nell Thomas, Good Citizen chairperson, relates that Cassie won the DAR American History Essay Contest at the 5th grade level. Once a Winner - Always a Winner.
