God knew Maiya and Charlie before they were born and called them to Him early - too early for those left behind to fully understand. The little footprints the twins left upon our hearts will walk with us forever. Their little angel souls have added two extra bright and shining stars to the night sky. We may continue to ask "why" and the answers may never be made known to us - perhaps God needed two special angels. He sent them to you for such a brief moment in time, to change your lives and to experience your love and care and when they fulfilled their purpose, he called them home - he needed them there. Perhaps they were just too beautiful for this earth. So, when you see the flutter of a butterfly wing, dancing lightly upon the bloom, know that it is Maiya or Charlie, resting lightly upon your shoulder, whispering in the wind, sending butterfly kisses to remind you they are with you still. Today, as on their birth day, they are playing together in heaven, walking hand in hand with all their grandparents, running in the wind and in their hands their Mommy's little bunny sent to keep them company. When you feel the road is too long and the way is too rough, just look up into the heavens, and your little angels will light the path, remembering their tiny feet have gone before us to show us the way.
