Mary Roach Tietjen Funeral Services Held October 4
Mary Will Roach Tietjen, 78, of Groesbeck passed away Tuesday evening October 2, 2007 at Limestone Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services were conducted Friday October 5, 2007 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Travis Smith and Bro. Richard Williams officiating. Burial followed in Thornton Cemetery.
Mary was born December 5, 1928 to Knolie and Emma Mae (Manning) Roach in Thornton.
She was in the banking industry for 49 years.
Mary is survived by her son, Mark Alan and wife Lisa Tietjen of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Taylor Lauren Tietjen, Parker Andrew Tietjen and Carson Chris Tietjen all of Flower Mound; sisters, Gloria Hawkins of Fort Worth, and Margie Marcus and husband Morris of Waco; brothers, Kenneth Bryan Roach of Thornton, David Wilson Roach and wife Janie of Groesbeck, and Terry Don Roach and wife Angela of Groesbeck; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jerry Lunn, Jerod Roach, Dustin Roach, David Roach, Nick Norman, Larry Richards.
Dorothy M. Person Funeral Services Held October 6
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Marie Person, 77, of Mexia were held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia with Rev. James Hooper officiating. Interment followed in Mexia Cemetery.
Mrs. Person was born July 19, 1930 in Groesbeck to James Clinton and Dessler Rogers Outlaw and passed away October 3, 2007. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and wife, who will be missed dearly, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia and Rebekkah Lodge.
Mrs. Person is survived by her husband, James L. Person of Mexia; sons: Terry Wayne Person of Mexia and Stephen Person and wife, Ruth Ann of Conroe; daughter, Barbara Shamblin and husband, James David of Mexia; grandchildren: Keri Lynn Shamblin Allen and husband, Brandon, David Cory Shamblin Hannah Marie Person; great-grandchildren: Bradley Mitchell Bailey and Benjamin Lucas Bailey, Taylor Ryanne Allen and Cole Riley Allen; brother, Claude Wendell Outlaw of Fairfield; sisters-in-law, Betty Outlaw of Ft. Worth and Mary Evelyn Brown of Mexia; brother and sister-in-law, Dickie and Violet Person of Georgewest, and brother-in-law, James Denton of Temple; many devoted aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were David Cory Shamblin, Brandon Allen, Michael Denton, Randy Wilson, Charles Wilson and Bill Bailey. Honorary pallbearer was Dr. Kenneth Russell.

Annie M. Bonesteel Passes Away Oct. 1
Mrs. Annie May Bonesteel, 67 of Thornton passed away at her residence on October 1, 2007.
She was born February 20, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to Joseph Albert and Annie May Nieser Russell. She graduated high school in Thornton and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children and their families: Son, Robert Edward Sampson, Jr.; daughter, Roxann Rachel Howard and husband, Jimmy Lee Howard, Sr. and their children, Jimmy Lee Howard, Jr., Samantha Danielle Howard and Kristopher Eri Howard; son, David Lester Bean and wife, Sherry Bean and their children, Ciara Skye Bean and Drake Ryan Bean; daughter, Patricia Ann Thomas and husband, Vic Edward Thomas, III and their children Twyla Nicole Thomas and Ozzy Edward Thomas, a sister, Marian Robinson of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Albert Russell, III.
Mrs. Lola Paris Funeral Services Held October 9
Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Matilda January Paris, 95, of Coolidge were held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in First Baptist Church of Coolidge. Rev. Larry holden officiated with interment following in the Coolidge Cemetery.
Mrs. Paris was born on September 17, 1912 in Lampasas to Benjamin Gideon and Tedie Elizabeth McCormis January and passed away October 7, 2007 in Manor Nursing Home. She was a resident of Coolidge for 83 years, a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Coolidge.
Mrs. Paris is survived by her daughter, Joy Johnston of Coolidge; son, Kenneth W. Paris of Coolidge; grandchildren: Wayne Paris of Crockett, Trent Paris of Robinson, Drake Paris of Killeen, Kent Johnston of Crawford, Jana Raymond of Groesbeck, Lori Knight of College Station, Karen Chilcoat of Mexia and Karmen Wilson of Teague; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Harrison of Coolidge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Paris in April 1992.
Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons-in-law: Wayne Paris, Trent Paris, Drake Paris, Kent Johnston, Kirk Raymond, Steve Knight and Dave Chilcoat.
