Good to know that we are still serving over 20 people on an average each week as 23 showed up this week. This included Ann Brown, Geri Levassar, Wilma Lee, Donna Lloyd, Betty, and Joe Reynolds, Bill and Elizabeth Neason, Earl Mask, Fonetta Simmons, Sue and Woody Wood, Austin and Kay Proctor, Gayla Lind, Elle, and Hank Staniszewski, Wayne Sharp, Ray, and Ruth Sanders, Neennah German, Janice Bilbrey, site mgr. and myself.

Governor Greg Abbott encouraged Texas health care providers to enroll in the Texas Department of State Health Services’ (DSHS) Immunization Program to be eligible to administer COVID-19 vaccines once they are available. Hospitals, medical practices, pharmacies, and long-term care facilities that want to participate are required to enroll as vaccine providers at EnrollTexasIZ.dshs.texas. gov to administer COVID-19 immunizations in Texas.

More than $20M for disaster crisis counseling services announced

Governor Greg Abbott announced the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) will receive more than $20 million in additional federal funding for disaster crisis counseling services for Texans impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding is provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Regular Services Crisis Counseling Program.
