Virtual Public meeting to present Ports-to-Plains Corridor Interstate feasibility study

TxDOT will hold a virtual public meeting to present a proposal to the public about a proposal to create a continuousflow, four-lane divided highway that meets interstate highway standards to the extent possible, including improvements that extend Interstate 27 between the New Mexico and Oklahoma borders and Laredo.

We had a blessed day on the 13th with sixteen seniors getting lunches. Those on the receiving end were Joe and Betty Reynolds, Roger and Linda Watson, Hank and Elle Staniszewski, Bill and Elizabeth Neason, Fonetta Simmons, Earl Mask, Neennah German, Ann Brown, Gayla Lind, Donna Lloyd, Janice Bilbrey and myself. We had a good lunch, which included the Breakfast burrito from Sonic that the center is purchasing with money that is being sent due to Covid-19 thru HOTCOG.

It’s that time of year when children return to learned halls, parents breathe a little easier, and those lazy days of summer quickly come to an end. It is a time we most certainly will never forget. In this time of great uncertainty, it may be prudent to remember who we are, where we come from, and the words of those who came before us.
