Tom P. Gee

The Angelic Hosts came for Mr. Tom P. Gee on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his Sandy Community home in Coolidge, Texas among loving family and devoted friends. A Viewing will be held Thursday July 3, 2014, 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family present from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street, Teague, Texas. Viewing and Visitation will also take place Friday, July 4, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, Sandy Community of Coolidge, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 5, 2014 in the Union Memorial United Methodist Church, Sandy Community of Coolidge, Texas. Rev. Sylvester Key II, Pastor, will serve as the Eulogist and Pastor Kennen Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Sandy Creek Cemetery. Tom P. Gee, was the eighth child born to the late Winford Gee, Sr. and Bertha Reed Gee in Coolidge, Limestone County, Tx on August 13, 1963. He graduated from Mexia High School with the class of 1982. He was married to Lisa Johnson in Groesbeck, Tx and to this union two daughters were born. Tom confessed his faith and belief in Christ at an early age at Union Memorial Methodist Church, Sandy Community, where he attended until his death. He served under the Leadership of Rev. Sylvester Key II. During his membership, he served on the usher board for many years. Tom was a dedicated worker at the Mexia Independent School District as a bus driver and custodian for several years. He later retired from MISD in 2010. He also worked for a time at Walmart in Mexia. Tom loved old school and blues music and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member of The Pioneer Club of Groesbeck. Tom will best be remembered for his outgoing personality, being one of a kind, his love of barbeque and pork chops, and keeping an immaculate lawn. Tom was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Donald W. Gee. Those left to cherish his memory most are: his loving daughters: Berlinda Gee and Toni Gee; three granddaughters: Svea Gee, Linda Gee, and Jolynn Gee, all of Pheonix, Az.; three brothers: Winford Gee, Jr. and his wife Jackie, Mexia, Tx, James R. Gee and wife Grace, Mt. Pleasant, Tx, Robert L. Gee and wife Nicole, Mexia, Tx, Four sisters: Verta Carter, Mexia, Tx, Thelma Gee-Brown, Irving, Tx, Merlene Kirven and husband Donald, Coolidge, Tx, and Darlene Gee, Mesquite, Tx; a loving step-mother, Patricia Gee, Coolidge, Tx, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
