Candidate filing for school and city elections end this Friday

This Friday, February 17, at 5 p.m. is the last day to file as a candidate for the school and city elections to be held on Saturday, May 6.
The voters of the Groesbeck Independent School District will be electing two at-large school trustees with the incumbents being Chris Rand and Bill David Sadler. All of the voters in the school district will eligible to participate in this election.
Candidates, who have filed as of Monday morning, are Kimberly Meyer, Bill David Sadler, Gabriel Gibson, and Ronnie Ferguson.
Filing for the school board is being conducted in the school superintendent’s office which is located on the campus of Groesbeck High School. Filing is being conducted by Teresa Battrick and Tammy Rand.
The voters of the City of Groesbeck will elect two members to the Groesbeck City Council. The incumbents are Kim Harris and Warren Anglin.
Candidates, who have filed for the Council positions as of Monday morning, are Warren Anglin and Jim Cox.
Candidate filing is being conducted in the office of City Secretary Brenda Jackson with office being located in the Groesbeck City Hall.
