Groesbeck shares fifth with three other teams at state team tennis tourney

Journal Staff Report

Rain on Saturday forced the cancelation of matches at the state team tennis tournament in Round Rock, as four teams met and decided to share fifth place, which included Rockdale, Ingram, Groesbeck and Shallowater.

Groesbeck opened the first round with a 10-5 defeat over Tulia, but in the second round, Wall got the best of the Goats by the same 10-5 score.

Matches were played all over Round Rock, Leander and Georgetown, in hopes of getting all the matches in before the weather hit.
