Mesquite Tree Festival, Coolidge

The City of Coolidge will host their Mesquite Tree Festival starting with a fish fry beginning at 5 p.m. Takeouts are available. At 7 p.m. there will be a tribute to Patsy Cline by Bridgett Huffines of Waco. On Saturday, craft booths will open at 8 a.m. At the park will be children’s games along with Bounce House and a water slide. Food will be available all day with the vendors. There will be a Mr. & Miss Mesquite Tree Pageant at 9 a.m. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Later in the evening (7 p.m.) there will be street dancing. Music will be performed by the band Huser Brothers of Waco. Presale tickets are $8 and $10 at the gate. Bring lawn chairs. For more information contact Peggy Bozeman at 254-786-2090.
