The Cynthia Ann Garden Club has selected the home of Jim and Joanne Kazlauskas on Leslie Street in the McLelland Addition as December’s Yard of the Month. The club highlights both daytime and nighttime views to showcase the home’s immaculate landscaping and festive Christmas decorations. The Kazlauskas’ yard is known year-round for its meticulous care, and in December it shines even brighter with holiday lights and décor. Congratulations to Jim and Joanne on this recognition. It was an exciting week of high school basketball for the Bi-Stone region. Not everyday you get to host a team from Australia either. That’s exactly what the Coolidge Yellowjackets did last Tuesday, as they hosted the traveling team from Warringah, Australia. The team was gracious enough to make visits to the elementary, junior high, and high school while they were here to answer student’s questions, then it was to the court for basketball action later Tuesday evening.
