We had a great meal which seems to be everyone's favorite, chicken and dumplings, squash, cornbread, a delicious pasta salad brought by Sue Wood, banana pudding, tea and milk.
Also Janice Bilbrey had brought watermelon as well as Buddy Lenamond brought quite a load for those that wanted them to take home with them. Thanks again Buddy for your generosity.
This week we will have King Ranch Casserole, Spanish rice, tossed green salad, tortilla chips, lemon cake, tea & milk.
Apple Jack Thompson was doing his usual thing, passing out apples to everyone, such a sweet man. Linda Taylor was showing off in her new dress that her daughter, Tammie had made her. Good job Tammie. She looked very cool and comfortable in it as well.
Bingo winners were Linda Watson, Wilma Lee, Linda Taylor, Merilyn Simpson and Dorla Sims. Linda Watson was the blackout winner. Dorla Sims is from Groesbeck and we are always proud to have her come join us. We missed our ladies from Oletha and pray they are well and will join us again this week.
I don't see any frame going up on the Community Center yet but maybe soon.
Several were talking about trips they were taking this week, so maybe we will get a good report on those next week.
We are so thankful for the rain that the Lord provided us with and in the forecast for more this week. So unusual for August, what a blessing and cooler temperatures are always welcome.
