The February 2018 meeting was scheduled to take place on the holiday of President's Day. Mayor O'Docharty motioned to move the February meeting to the week following the regularly scheduled meeting, February 26 at 6 p.m., Tamika Jackson seconded.

TK Presley, EDC Executive Director gave the monthly Directors Report and fielded questions concerning the progress of the parkette, mainly the mural aspect of the new and upcoming feature.

Presley reminded everyone that it is important to not turn a construction site into an attraction and that constructing the mural first before the foundation and constructional aesthetics would be a danger rather than a benefit.

Phase one of the Parkette should start taking place at the beginning of 2018 and would include the construction and masonry work.
