Court gets January law enforcement stats
Limestone County commissioners heard the January statistics for the Law Enforcement Center, which includes the Sheriff’s Office, County Jail and Dispatch Department; also the January figures for the Juvenile Detention Center.
Sheriff Dennis Wilson and Juvenile Detention Center Director Brian Swick made the reports at commissioners court’s Feb. 13 meeting.
According to Wilson:
• Deputies traveled 248 miles transporting inmates to Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities.
• The cost for that travel totaled $3,613.
• The out-of-county inmate population averaged 33 daily.
