Groesbeck’s Smith voted Female MVP of district tennis

A number of Groesbeck tennis players earned District 18-4A kudos for the fall season.
Andrea Smith was voted the Female Most Valuable Player and also was one-half of the mixed doubles first team with Blane Sadler.
Jalisa Davis was voted the Female Newcomer of the Year in the district.
McKenzie Carroll earned first team all-district at the No. 2 singles position. She and teammate Emily Menzel also earned first team at No. 1 girls doubles.
Second-team selections on the girls’ side were Menzel at No. 3 singles and Reagan Burleson at No. 5 singles. Burleson and Daniela Scarlatti earned second team at No. 2 doubles.
On the boys’ side, Sadler was a second-team selection for singles play.
