Later in the set, with Groesbeck ahead 14-10, the Lady Eagles got a replay on an out-of-rotation call. Fairfield followed this up with two kills by Breyunna Dowell and Avery Thaler. With Groesbeck ahead 15-12, a hit by Dowell was blocked by Marlee Price, but the ball rolled out of bounds on Groesbeck’s side.
