The Thornton Masonic Lodge #486, hosted a fish fry fundraiser this past Saturday evening at the Mary Helen Nance Community Center. The fundraiser’s purpose was to raise funds to purchase a heating and air conditioning for the new Joe Ray Brown Masonic Hall presently under construction.
Attendance is still great these days with twenty coming for lunch Thursday. Those present being Ann Brown, Elizabeth Neason, Roger and Linda Watson, Neennah German, Snuffy Bennett, Fonetta Simmons, Earl Mask, Woody, and Sue Wood, Wayne Sharp, Lorene Stembridge and friend, Billie Dixon from Giddings, Alma McCurry, Doris Lemley, James Lenamond, Hank and Elle Staniszewski, Janice Bilbrey and myself. We missed Wilma Lee out due to having been exposed to Covid, Gayla Linda and Glenda Gambini also were not there. We missed you and hope you will be back Thursday. Wayne said he would be having a procedure done on one of his legs and we will be praying for him.
