Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser by the Kosse Masonic Lodge

EUTAW Masonic Lodge # 233 in Kosse brought back the spaghetti dinner fundraiser this year, after a brief lapse in the annual event due to COVID. Blustery winter weather on Saturday, February 12 kept many indoors, but those who ventured out to the Kosse Community Center were met with generous servings of spaghetti and homemade meatballs in a meat sauce, with cheesy garlic bread, salad, and a brownie for dessert at $10 per plate.

“We had a fair showing, certainly not as many people as we hoped because of the weather, but it was still a success,” said Master Mason Jarrod Eno, who did a majority of the cooking for the event.

The Lodge began serving at 11 a.m. and as Eno stated, the freezing temperatures and the light sleet/snow mix put a bit of a damper on sales. Originally, the group planned to remain open until 7 pm, but the weather and weaker-than-hoped-for turnout led them to close doors midafternoon. Still, the Masons are grateful for the community support garnered through this event, which will fund local scholarships for graduating seniors this spring.
