Cross Creek Meadows Therapeutic Riding and Retreat Center to have work day this Saturday

Do you need community service hours or just enjoy volunteering?

Cross Creek Meadows Therapeutic Riding and Retreat Center is preparing for its spring riding semester and needs your help.

They have planned a work day for Saturday, Jan. 28. Work hours available will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with also, volunteer training at 2:00 p.m.

Cross Creek Meadows is located at 629 LCR 741 in Thornton. From the Oletha area, turn off LCR 937 and turn at Oletha Baptist Church.

If you can join, please message Darla Wurtz at 254-900-7715. High school students can sign up in the school office. Scouts and 4H clubs are all welcome to join.

Cross Creek Meadows is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that will provide therapeutic riding or interaction with horses to bring confidence and healing to children, veterans and others with disabilities. A retreat-style setting on 36 acres will house the Equine Center consisting of a five-stall barn and a covered arena. Cross Creek Meadows extends its services as funding becomes available.
