Groesbeck Chamber cancels ‘Meet the Candidates’ event

In recent news, the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce has unfortunately announced the cancelation of their ‘Meet the Candidates’ event scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 10, due to scheduling conflicts with other election forums. The chamber hopes to be able to host forums again in the future and apologizes for any inconvenience due to this cancelation.

All candidates are invited to join the chamber at their upcoming chamber awards banquet on Feb. 24. Inquire for more information by emailing the chamber at info@groesbeckchamber.com. Candidates will be recognized before the awards presentation.

A Night Of Political Education In The Freestone County Area

Freestone County Retired Teachers Association will be hosting its 3rd Annual Chili Supper and Legislative Forum on February 10, 2022. It will be held in the Fairfield High School Cafeteria with chili being served at 5:00 pm. followed by the forum at 5:30 pm. We invited every candidate on the Freestone County Primary Ballot of both political parties. We have 22 confirmed federal, state, and local candidates attending our event. Due to Texas redistricting many of our voting districts have a chance. This is an opportunity to hear from and put a face with a name on your Primary Ballot. Nothing political can be brought on our school campus, fliers, cards, signs.
