Historic Honest Ridge Cemetery in western Limestone County is seeking donations for the grounds’ upkeep. The cemetery is currently mowed on a regular basis.
Located in Limestone County on LCR 344, the cemetery has many very old graves, some dating back to the mid-to-late 1800s.
At one time, Honest Ridge community was a thriving place, with a few stores and a school.
Those interested in donating to the Honest Ridge Cemetery may do so by sending their donations to Honest Ridge Cemetery, c/o Tom Hawkins, P. O. Box 708, Groesbeck, TX 76642. Hawkins is related to the Thomas W. Brodnax family, of which several are buried at Honest Ridge.
