Holiday market set for Saturday
The annual Groesbeck Fall Holiday Market is Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Convention Center, 106 E. Navasota in Groesbeck, said Jennifer Paul, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
“The event features vendors stocked full of all kinds of things for purchase from clothes, home decor, arts and crafts, woodwork, and lots more,” Paul said. “The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce hosts the event annually, This was something the Chamber of Commerce established way back when - it’s just a great thing to keep alive and bring to the area.”
The Chamber has hosted a holiday market and the spring Peddler’s market spanning back to before the Convention Center was built in 2014, before then it was held across the street in what now houses Steel Fitness Gym, Paul said.
“The pandemic made participation in the market decrease from 2020 to 2021, but we have revitalized and are so happy to be able to bring a full market back.”
There are around 38 vendors, she said.
“We have a full house for this market, meaning both rooms of the convention center will have different booths set up, at this point all of our inside booths are reserved but we still have some outside vendors’ spots available” Ashburn Hanna American Legion Post 288 is selling food for the market. And guests can expect to see everything from Scentsy products, homemade soaps and macarons, hand-carved woodwork, gifts, home decor, jewelry, raffle tickets, dog clothes, tumblers and more.
Everyone is welcome, no entry fee, just money to shop at the vendor booths, Paul said.
“We invite everyone to come out from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and get a head start on their Christmas shopping.”
