NEWS FROM THE SENIOR CENTER

Please note that the Limestone County Senior Centers are closed until further notice for congregate meetings.

Although, our Seniors aren’t getting to meet at the centers, we are trying to keep in contact with them by phone. We are still delivering to our Homebound, averaging 60 per day, some days more. We want to send a shout out to Sonic for their part on helping see that our seniors are receiving a breakfast burrito everyday along with a hot meal for lunch.

A special Thanks goes out to the Loins Club, LMC, our Nursing Homes, and Home Health Care personnel for seeing to it that our seniors are keeping cool during this hot weather by furnishing them with fans. I know that they are grateful to receive them.

Looking forward to the day our Seniors can start congregating again. I definitely miss their laughter around here, but at the same time want to keep them safe and healthy.

I am working on setting some goals for the center and one is to bring in more activities. If you would be interested in volunteering your time to help get some new activities started please contact me at 729-5123. Please visit our Facebook page (Senior Citizens Center) for our menu and activities calendar. All of our centers are closed right now , look forward to the day we can reopen. You are always welcomed to join any of our Centers for fellowship, lunch, and fun. Please let us know at least the day before by 3 P.M. so our cooks can prepare for you, if you would like to come eat with us.
