Kosse Methodist Annual Bazaar, just weeks away

The Kosse Methodist Church will be holding its’ annual bazaar on October 1. Be sure to get there early to shop for great bargains in the white elephant sale. Then get a jump start on your Christmas shopping by browsing through a great assortment of beautiful homemade craft items. The country kitchen will feature delicious homemade canned goods including jellies, jams, pickles, and more. Our bake sale is famous for its’ variety and is sure to include something you can’t resist. There will also be a silent auction with many great items you’ll want to bid on. Games and prizes will be available for the kiddos as well. Festivities will also include a BBQ plate lunch including ribs, sausage, beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and “fixins” to go with it, dessert, and a drink for only $12.00 per plate. Chicken salad and egg salad sandwiches will also be available. All items are available “to go”. And don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets!!! There are great prizes up for raffle, including a $500 Visa gift card, Blackstone Griddle, Stihl Pressure Washer, and many more items. Tickets are $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets are available at Kosse Farmers State Bank or from any church member on the day of the bazaar. The live auction will start at 1 and include a variety of items including a trip to Colorado donated by Thomas Q and Ruth Robbins, a quilt donated by Cecilia Fehlau, a Yeti cooler donated by Linda and Brooks Valls and many more unique and interesting items. This bazaar is always a great time. So come on out, enjoy all the bazaar has to offer and get acquainted again with friends and neighbors. We hope to see you there!

A small group of Groesbeck Chamber members enjoyed a presentation about the 2022 Small Business Direct Install Program offered through Oncor on Thursday, September 8. Over lunch provided by Pizza Hut, Nancy Nuche, Senior Account Manager with the consulting firm ICF, spoke to the group about an opportunity for small business owners to save on energy costs by improving their lighting systems.
